How to check PNR status of RAC ticket?

You can check the RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) status of your train PNR (Passenger Name Record) through the following methods:

1. Indian Railways Official Website (IRCTC)

• Go to IRCTC PNR Status

• Enter your PNR number (found on your ticket)

• Click on Check Status to see if your RAC ticket is confirmed or still in RAC.

2. NTES (National Train Enquiry System)

• Visit NTES Website

• Click on PNR Status

• Enter your PNR number and check for updates.

3. SMS Service

• Send an SMS in the following format:

• Send it to 139 (Indian Railways Inquiry Number)

• You will receive an SMS with your ticket status.

4. Railway Helpline (Call 139)

• Dial 139 from your phone.

• Follow the IVR instructions to check PNR status.

Understanding RAC Status

• RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation): You can board the train and get a shared seat (berth split into two seats).
